Pray Before You Carry It
Some things follow us around all day because we never actually put them down.
A concern about someone we love.
A problem at work.
A decision we cannot make yet.
Something somebody said.
Something we wish we had said.
We carry it from room to room and conversation to conversation, turning it over in our minds as though another hour of worrying might finally solve it.
Sometimes it will not.
Before you carry that concern through another part of your day, stop.
Pray about it.
Not necessarily for the answer you want. Not even for the problem to disappear.
Simply place it before God and ask for the wisdom to know what belongs in your hands—and the faith to release what does not.
Then get up and return to the work in front of you.
The problem may still be there.
But you don’t have to carry it alone.
Today’s Work: Take one concern you’ve been carrying and deliberately place it before God in prayer.
Masonry works when it’s done daily.
