The Brother You Haven’t Heard From
Brotherhood is easy when everyone is in the room.
We shake hands at Lodge. We sit together at dinner. We work a degree, share a story, and ask how everyone is doing.
But what about the Brother who isn’t there?
Sometimes a Brother simply gets busy. Sometimes life changes. Sometimes health, family, work, or circumstances quietly pull him away.
And sometimes nobody calls.
Brotherhood shouldn’t depend upon who happens to walk through the Lodge door.
One of the simplest ways we can live our Masonry is to notice when someone is missing—and care enough to reach out.
You don’t need a committee. You don’t need an official reason. And you certainly don’t need the perfect words.
Sometimes all a Brother needs to hear is:
“I was thinking about you. How are you doing?”
That’s not a program.
That’s Brotherhood.
Today’s Work:
Think of a Brother you haven’t seen or spoken with lately.
Call him. Send him a message. Ask how he’s doing.
And then—this part matters—listen to his answer.
Tonight, ask yourself:
Did a Brother know today that somebody remembered him?
Masonry works when it’s done daily.
