The-Everyday-Mason-Day-Two-The Work Nobody Sees

The Work Nobody Sees

Some of the most important work a Mason does will never be seen by another Brother.

There will be no applause for it. No recognition. No one may ever know it happened.

It is the moment you choose patience when irritation would have been easier. The conversation where you refuse to speak badly about someone who isn’t there. The small kindness done without telling anyone. The decision to do what is right simply because you know it is right.

That’s where character is being built.

We spend a great deal of time thinking about the work others can see. But a craftsman knows that some of the most important parts of a structure eventually become hidden.

They still have to be sound.

So do we.

Today’s Work:

Do one good thing today that nobody needs to know about.

Don’t post it. Don’t mention it. Don’t look for recognition.

Simply do it because it is the kind of thing the man you are trying to become would do.

Tonight, ask yourself:

Who was I today when nobody was watching?
